在做贸易这些年中,我一直在思索,我们做贸易的竞争力到底在哪里?随着科技发展,依靠信息和资源的不对称显然是越来越困难。同样的产品,有的时候客户愿意多花几个美金跟我买,这不是什么“关系”的因素,而是客户觉得在产品本身之外我值这几个美金的价值,那产品之外能够创造价值的是什么呢?答案很清晰了,无非就是服务而已。既然是服务那当然就得不断提升服务意识,切实的站在客户的立场上考虑,设法为客户创造价值的同时收获自己的价值,而不是想着从客户身上挣钱;记清自己的目标并坚守原则;提升自己的认知和能力;建立更多的有益人际关系。
如何去做呢,亨利.福特100年前就给出了答案,“任何事情都能够比它已经做过的做得更好一些”。

During my years experience of trading, I keep thinking what is my real competitiveness? With the development of science and technology, to rely on the asymmetry of information and resources would obvious not be a workable way anymore.
Sometimes, the customer is willing to pay a few more dollars to buy same products from me. This is not because of some “relationship” factors, the customer only considered that I am worth the value of these few dollars beyond the product itself. What would create value beyond the product? The answer is clear: service. That means I earn my life all relay on service, thus I must constantly improve the service consciousness. To consider everything stand on customers’ ground, earn own value only when customers’ value can be met, never take customers as some money-making tool. Always keep the original goal in mind all the time and stick on the principles. Always try improving self cognition and ability. Always try developing more helpful interpersonal relationships.
How to do that? Henry Ford gave the answer 100 years ago, “everything can be better done than it ever has been done.”
